Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Shift: Days Location: Not Specified. This role requires a dedicated registered nurse with experience in high-acuity settings, specifically within intensive care units. The position involves providing specialized patient care across various high-acuity units, including critical care, neuro, cardiac, and surgical units, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The role involves working in a high-acuity float pool unit encompassing Critical Care, Observation, Medical Surgical, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association), WA or Compact RN license, experience in ICU for at least 2 years, and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system. Must have prior floating experience (floating to other floors/units or facilities) and general hospital orientation.
  • Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Experience with titratable and set-rate drips (Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, CIS) preferred. Familiarity with monitor tech responsibilities, vent equipment (ventilator, high flow, BiPap, Cpap), and telemetry monitoring is required. Self-scheduling is permitted, with three weekend shifts per schedule and holiday coverage expected. The role includes updating unit-specific orientation and completing required classes.
