The role requires delivering personalized patient care, conducting assessments, and managing end-of-life care in a supportive environment. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care for patients and their families.
Job Details
- Position: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Woodruff, WI
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, with an additional 4-hour shift, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Night shifts, minimum 36 hours weekly
- Required Certifications: Wisconsin or compact RN license, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education Requirements: Associate Degree or Certificate (preferred: Bachelors Degree)
- Experience: 2 years of hospice experience, minimum 1-2 years required
- Specific Skills and Responsibilities: Charting for changes in condition, head-to-toe assessments, managing death visits, and handling patient calls. Most charting is done during day hours, but responsibilities extend to event-driven tasks, including on-call duties for low census hours with call back pay.
- Additional Information:
- Facility: 8-bedroom hospice house
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Scrubs: Any clean, work-appropriate scrubs
- On-call: May be required for low census hours with a call back minimum of 2 hours.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting ASAP, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours weekly
