Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Union Gap, WA. This position involves providing specialized emergency care at a small, acute care facility with 8-10 beds, open 24/7. The ER Nurse will manage a diverse patient population, including neonates, geriatrics, and pediatrics, with a focus on trauma, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, and psych-related conditions.
Job Details:
- Position Description: Clinical interviewing may be required; send to the manager for approval.
- Experience: Two full years of emergency room experience across trauma levels, with strong clinical skills in ventilator management, medication administration, chest tubes, central lines, and IV access.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Weekend rotation every other week.
- Orientation: One hospital orientation, one full day with the emergency department unit educator, 8 hours respiratory class, and one full day on the unit.
- Support on the Unit: Charge nurse, emergency department Medical Doctor, Medical Services Technician, Front Desk personnel, and Emergency Severity Index/Phlebotomy staff.
- Charting System and Equipment: EPIC electronic health record, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing ventilators and Bipap machines training will be provided during onboarding. No RT staff available onsite. RN staff will manage vents/Bipap, and medication mixing will be supervised via video conference with pharmacy. The traveler must pass a Telemetry Competency exam prior to start.
- Floating: Float rotation is not required.
- Other notes: Scrub color can be any, parking is free. The position begins on 10/05/2026 and ends on 01/02/2027, with rotating holidays and up to 5 days of RTO approval.
