Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, Molokai, HI Located at a rural health facility and the only hospital on the island of Molokai, this position involves providing 24/7 emergency care for residents and visitors. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services in a critical access hospital environment dedicated to patient safety and efficient care delivery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN licensure required. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required. NRP and CPI (or its equivalent) strongly preferred. Must pass an EKG test with 80% or higher during orientation. All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission through the duration of the initial contract.
- Additional Information: Two or more years of full-time staff Emergency nursing experience prior to any travel assignments required. Candidates with acute care/inpatient experience (Med/Surg/Tele) highly preferred. Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date. Failure to meet this requirement will delay the start while the end date remains fixed, resulting in a shortened contract. Queen's is open to Hawaii residents, but they will not be offered traveler rates. Please submit rate bid with submission. All compliance will be due 10 days before start. If not submitted 10 days or more before start, your travel assignment will be pushed 2 weeks or canceled. Please include a current NURSYS report for all submissions. If RN is not needed on their unit or similar unit as an RN, they will be assigned to be a nursing assistant or a safety sitter, and it is expected that they fill that role.
