Job Summary
Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a dialysis unit, supporting inpatient and outpatient services. The role requires a committed healthcare professional with experience in dialysis procedures and the ability to adapt to variable shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Job Details
- Certifications required: Wisconsin RN License, BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); minimum of 2+ years of recent dialysis experience in an inpatient setting, including CRRT and Peritoneal Dialysis. Trauma level II experience is highly preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Specialty: Dialysis Unit.
- Coverage includes inpatient and outpatient care, with patient ratios of 1:4 in inpatient settings with dialysis techs or 1:1 in ICU units; outpatient ratio is 1:8.
- Schedule: Days, variable start times from as early as 5:00 am to as late as 7:30 pm, with shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, totaling 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to and from inpatient and outpatient settings.
- On Call/Back: Required 3 times in a two-week period, with 2 during every other weekend; response time of 1 hour.
- Additional clinical responsibilities may include both RN and PCT roles based on clinic needs.
- Charting experience with Epic preferred.
- The position begins on 09/08/2026, ending on 12/05/2026, with a guaranteed 48 hours weekly and flexibility for block scheduling.
