Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse, located in an unspecified location, is responsible for providing specialized patient care in a Level 1 trauma cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role involves performing emergency and elective angioplasty, administering therapies such as drug-eluting stents, and supporting electrophysiology procedures and pacemaker implantations, ensuring comprehensive care for patients and their families.
Job Details
- Must live at least 100 miles away from the facility; Monday through Friday, 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities, including two weekends and 15 shifts.
- Certification and Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
- Experience requirements: Two or more years of recent acute care experience in a Cath Lab setting, with proficiency in emergency and elective angioplasty, drug-eluting stents, electrophysiology, and pacemaker procedures.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- The candidate should be prepared to fulfill duties in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements; additional operational details are to be discussed during the interview process.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
