Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted where applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital RN experience
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and triage skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid triage, assess patient acuity, and prioritize care for patients of all ages
- Deliver direct nursing care for urgent and emergent conditions in the Emergency Department
- Carry out appropriate interventions, procedures, treatments, and evaluations based on patient condition
- Monitor patient progress and respond quickly to changes in status
- Support patients and families with clear communication, education, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the care team to promote safe, efficient, compassionate care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Contribute to a supportive healing environment that respects the needs of every patient and family
