Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) - Green Bay, WI. This position involves floating within various units such as observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and transitional care. The assignment supports staff flexibility and skill development, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care during rotating shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour evening shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, and guaranteed hours ranging from 36 to 48 hours.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN or Compact license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, NIHSS certification (preferred but must be completed prior to end of orientation), minimum of 1-2 years general Medical Surgical Nursing experience with venipuncture and Cardizem administration. Experience with ports, Foley/straight catheter, and stable drips. Previous travel experience strongly preferred, charting experience in Epic within the past 2 years is strongly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
- Shift Notes: PM shift is 3:00 PM 11:30 PM.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within skillset to various units including observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and transitional care. The facility will attempt to keep float assignments within 1-2 similar units but may float to other units as needed.
- On Call/Call Back Requirements: None.
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Minimum Experience: 0 years required.
- Start and End Dates: 08/31/2026 through 11/28/2026.
- Additional Information: Candidates must complete medical compliance within 48 hours of acceptance or 24 hours for a quick start. The position requires time management, resilience, ability to manage change, and strong social skills. Scrub colors are not specified but should avoid bright colors or character prints. The candidate must be outside a 50-mile radius of the healthcare provider facility.
