Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse (MS REHAB) Wausau, Wisconsin. This inpatient rehabilitation unit seeks a dedicated RN to provide patient care with a focus on stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac cases. The position involves working rotating 12-hour shifts with a commitment of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.
Job Details
- Position: RN in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) specialty in Wausau, Wisconsin.
- Certifications: Wisconsin RN license, American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Education: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience in an inpatient hospital setting (STAC) required; experience in the specified specialty preferred.
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6am-6:30pm and 6pm-6:30am, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
- Required Skillset: Rehab knowledge, primary cases including stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac.
- Charting Experience: Epic preferred.
- Additional Information:
- Float to all inpatient units as needed.
- Will typically have low census in 4-hour increments.
- Must be adaptable, resilient, social, and able to manage change well.
- Scrub colors can be any color.
- GSA hours not guaranteed during the week of orientation; guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays.
- During flu season, travelers declining vaccination must wear a mask at all times, in accordance with policy.
