Job Summary
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Alaska. This position involves providing compassionate nursing care within a long-term care facility, with a focus on geriatrics and adult patients. The role requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule to support patient needs and operational requirements of the facility.
Job Details
- Position Description: LTC RN. Previous travel experience required. Must have an Alaska license in hand. Start date: ASAP. Shifts are 4x12 variable or 3x12 variabletraveler's choiceon a rotating basis, either days or nights depending on facility needs. This assignment is suitable for travelers seeking either 26 or 13 weeks, with guaranteed hours of 60 hours per two weeks.
- Required Qualifications: Alaska licensure, BLS certification, LTC experience, at least 1 year of applicable experience, and certification in oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and PPE/isolation precautions.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital, LTAC, trauma level II.
- Additional Information: Candidates must obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (one-time fee of $10). Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). No local candidates accepted unless at least 50 miles from the facility. RTO restrictions apply, with limited requests allowed in accordance with contract length.
