Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Ukiah, California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department, supervising and directing nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes in a small-town hospital setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting around 6:00 am and ending around 6:30 pm.
- Additional Information: Experience in labor, postpartum, or Level 2 nursery preferred, with NICU experience required for day shift. Scrubs are provided if needed, otherwise eggplant-colored scrubs. The role involves direct patient care, discharge planning, delegation, and team collaboration.
