Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department, supervising and directing nursing staff, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in a scenic, small-town setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; three years of experience in a related setting; valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE); Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (INTFETAL).
- Essential Functions: Collects relevant data, analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, collaborates with patients and healthcare teams, provides patient education, participates in discharge planning, appropriately delegates duties, and performs other relevant duties.
- Additional Information: The role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met within the department.
