Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed at a healthcare facility in the area. This position involves providing specialized patient care within the ICU setting, with an emphasis on critical care for post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1 cases, general surgery, and neurosurgery patients. The assignment is scheduled for 16 weeks, with schedules that require flexibility, including a minimum of every other weekend.
Job Details
- Position: ICU RN (Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse)
- Location: Area of the healthcare provider
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum 2 years of ICU experience; prior travel experience; large teaching facility experience; EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years; RN license in good standing; ICU experience in units with a patient population including post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, and neurosurgery.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Additional Information:
- Shifts run Monday through Sunday with no block schedules.
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays.
- All employment gaps over 90 days should be explained.
- Completing comprehensive work history including bed count, EMR system, and facility type is required for submission.
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
- No float rotation required; travel is not required.
