Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position in the Massachusetts region involves delivering specialized patient care within a high-acuity environment. The role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, safety protocols, and patient-centered service. The position offers the potential to float to Medical/Surgical Telemetry units based on operational needs.
Job Details
- Position: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of a School of Nursing (RN) currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; CCHC Pharmacology exam; CCHC Basic Arrhythmia exam; prior critical care experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); completion of an approved De-escalation Certification Course; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification; Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR); demonstrated skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring (ICU).
- Additional Information: The nurse performs patient assessments, administers medications, directs patient care activities, and maintains accurate documentation throughout the hospitalization process. Expertise in computerized nursing informatics, proficiency in safety and blood/body fluid policies, and ability to assume charge nurse responsibilities are essential.
