Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Operating Room – Newark, NJ 07102
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. On-call expectations include a minimum of one weekend per month (24-hour call) and 1-2 night call shifts (8-hour shifts). 90-day assignment with 12-hour orientation.
Highlights:
- Specialize in cardiovascular open heart procedures including coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), heart valve replacements (MVR, AVR), and complex cardiac cases
- Circulate on advanced cardiac procedures while also supporting general and vascular surgical cases
- Work with Epic electronic health record system in a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program
- Travel nursing opportunity with competitive compensation including overtime, callback, and holiday pay
Requirements:
- Current RN license in New Jersey or compact state license
- CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) certification or specialty training
- Minimum of two years of cardiovascular operating room experience required
- Demonstrated experience circulating on open heart cases, specifically CABG and valve replacement procedures
- Experience in general OR and vascular cases
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Availability for on-call responsibilities including weekends and night shifts
