Job Summary
Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) Rhinelander, WI. This outpatient procedural department requires a dedicated Wound Care RN to provide specialized wound and ostomy care, including topical wound management, compression wraps, wound VACs, total contact casting, and conservative sharp wound debridement. The position involves collaboration with advanced practice providers and performing inpatient and emergency department consultations to support patient recovery and wound healing.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: WI or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum 2 years of experience in wound care or certification; associate degree or certificate; must reside outside 50 miles of the facility; minimum 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Wound and ostomy certification or extensive work in wound/ostomy clinics; EPIC charting experience (required).
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to the Howard Young Wound Clinic in Woodruff, WI.
  • Additional Information: The outpatient department sees active patients weekly, with a patient ratio of approximately 1 RN to 8 or 9 visits per day, supported by CNA assistance. Responsibilities include topical wound care, compression wraps, wound VACs, total contact casting, sharp wound debridement, ostomy pouching, and peristomal skin breakdown treatment. Candidates should wear any type of scrubs, closed-toed shoes, and avoid fake nails or nail polish.
