Job Summary:
Trauma and Neuro Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a Level 1 Trauma Center with a focus on trauma, stroke care, transplant, and burn patients. The role involves providing specialized critical care in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population, including patients with traumatic injuries, neurovascular conditions, and post-surgical needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license listed in Nursys, professional drivers license or state ID, active Ascension profile, two professional references, and an updated resume.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit maintains a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, utilizes sunrise charting system, and requires participation in every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage. The environment involves caring for MVC, gunshot wounds, stabbings, falls, CVA, craniotomy, aneurysm rupture, EVD, and lumbar drains.
