Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse Nights Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized care for cardiac telemetry patients during night shifts. The qualified candidate will monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications and drips, and respond to emergent situations in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, NIHSS; two years of experience in telemetry or cardiac patient care; current certification in ACLS and CPI preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience reading rhythms, managing cardiac medications and drips (no titration), and utilizing electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
- Float: Within scope to meet facility needs.
- Additional Information:
- Patient age group: Adults
- Daily census: approximately 14 patients
- Patient diagnoses include TAVR, LAA's telemetry, and various cardiac conditions
- Special procedures include tele monitoring, reading rhythms, and cardiac medication management
- External Pacemaker monitoring necessary
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Max of 7 days, must be finalized at time of submission
- License: MO (Missouri) acceptable without license; IL (Illinois) license required at time of submittal; compact license must match permanent residence.
- Radius rule: No local candidates within 75 miles, except for certain auxiliary roles.
- Contract dates: 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
- Vaccination requirements: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not mandated.
- Labs and modules must be completed within specified timeframes prior to start date.
