Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit located in the South St. Louis County area. This role involves providing direct patient care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, chest pain, and other related conditions. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, starting from 09/14/2026, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 1900-0730; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license in Missouri or eligible for licensure in Missouri; BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA; 1 year of telemetry or cardiac telemetry experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation; ability to manage drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, lidocaine, nitro, and milrinone; familiarity with chest tubes and other drains; knowledge of CIWA protocol.
- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The unit utilizes telemetry monitors, and staff work with patients experiencing arrhythmias, respiratory issues, renal problems, and post-surgical recovery. The role requires a compassionate and team-oriented approach, with attention to detail and assessment skills. The dress code specifies black scrubs with the Mercy cross logo on the top.
