Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse for a healthcare organization located at a level I trauma center. This role involves providing direct patient care in a 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit, including post-operative cardiac care. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring appropriate discharge planning, all in a fast-paced environment with support from PCTs and a unit coordinator. The nurse may be required to float between cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical departments and work up to six weekend shifts every six weeks, including holidays as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Licensed as a registered nurse with an active Nursys license, possessing a driver's license or state ID, and in possession of an Ascension profile. Candidates must have 3 years of nursing experience and hold current professional references.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, noting and executing physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring and monitor tech support is available. This role is critical in a trauma center environment serving patients of all ages.
