Job Summary:
The Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Centennial, Colorado. This role involves providing patient care across multiple units within the designated zone, requiring flexibility to float within specified facilities. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse clinical conditions, following established clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights; 12 hours per shift
- Schedule: Night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week. Schedules are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance and may follow either a fixed-week assignment at a single facility or a Just-In-Time (JIT) model with facility assignments communicated 1-2 hours before shift start.
- Required Qualifications: Current ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS certifications. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior neuro experience is preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within Zone 1, covering multiple facilities around Colorado Springs, Colorado. The traveler is responsible for obtaining suitable housing to facilitate zone coverage, as they will be required to float throughout the zone.
- Additional Information:
- No home base facility; must be at least 60 miles from each assigned facility.
- Must participate in the weekend shift schedule, totaling 6-9 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
- The assignment involves floating to adult and geriatric patients, with patient ratios of approximately 1:5-6 based on acuity.
- The role includes bedside patient care, utilizing equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPap, and managing diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, oncology, and general medicine.
- Charting is completed in the EPIC system.
- The facility operates a flat 6-week schedule with flexible coverage requirements.
- Candidates must be able to start on 09/14/2026 and demonstrate the ability to stay for the full duration of the assignment.
