Position Overview
- Specialty: IMC / PCU / Stepdown (HVTI-Stepdown unit; potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED for same patient population)
- Position Type: Contract
- Duration: 13 or 20 weeks (winter coverage)
- Target Start Date: 09/11/2026
- Shift: Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; D/N rotating shift or variable shifts may be required based on hospital operational needs). Auto-offer - 3x12s only.
- Client Bill Rate: $100.00 / hour
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Stepdown/IMC/PCU (travel experience accepted).
- Licensure: Permanent Ohio RN license or an active Compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
- Certifications: Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (must be in hand, no pending certs accepted).
- References: One (1) required reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty worked within the past 12 months (no co-worker references accepted).
Compliance & Facility Details
- RTO: All Return Time Off (RTO) must be discussed during the interview and included at the time of submission.
- Exclusivity: Travelers may only be submitted for one (1) job at a time within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
- Assessments: ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate completed during orientation (maximum 2 attempts to pass). PBDS assessment is waived.
- Background & Licensing: Background hits are reviewed case-by-case (no open cases accepted); no license hits accepted. BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract.
- Nikotine Policy: Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements.
- Rehire Rule: Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date.
