Job Summary:
This is a Nursing position in a Progressive Care Unit located in an acute care facility. The role involves providing specialized patient care for adults and geriatrics in a 24-bed unit, focusing on clinical skills such as cardiac monitoring, airway management, and managing complex conditions. The position offers a flexible night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week from 08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 hour Nights. Minimum 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Education and experience: 1 year of recent clinical experience in a similar setting. Valid state or compact license in hand at time of submittal.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac, vasoactive drips (no titration), non-invasive airway management, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems, specifically Epic.
  • Additional Information: The unit operates with a patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4, and manages patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure. Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement. Support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with onsite modules during orientation.
  • Travel Compliance: 100-mile radius rule, no local candidates. All RTO must be listed at the time of submittal. Previous staff must wait at least one year before returning as travelers.
