Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position in Yakima, Washington. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with diverse medical, cardiac, and oncology diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of clinical experience in a PCU or similar setting and be comfortable managing complex patient needs, including post-cath lab procedures, cardiac monitoring, and high-acuity care.
Job Details:
- Location: Yakima, Washington
- Schedule: Nights shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); 1+ years of clinical experience in a progressive care or similar environment; nursing license in licensed state; experience with trach care, chest tubes, TR band, post-cath lab care, central line maintenance, cardiac rhythm interpretation; comfortable managing titratable drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, Lasix.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for general medical, cardiac, and oncology patients; high Spanish-speaking population experience; compassionate approach to underserved populations.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within scope and throughout hospital.
- Additional Information: The facility is a non-profit community hospital with 226 beds, including 34 beds on a second emergency ward, serving diverse patient populations with a focus on compassionate care and charity cases.
