Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position located in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with varying levels of acuity, utilizing advanced equipment and adhering to unit policies. The position offers a collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team and a focus on patient-centered care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH, and ABLS preferred but not required. Must have ICU or PCU background. Hemodynamic monitoring and drip titration proficiency necessary. Must be BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certified, and comfortable with cardiac rhythm. Endorsement of procedures including debridement, dressing changes, line insertion, chest tube maintenance, and post-op care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Burn experience, NIH certification, ABLS certification, and hemodynamic training are desirable.
- Additional Information: This unit is a high-acuity environment with mixed patient levels, including adult burn, trauma, stroke, and cardiac patients. The team features a dedicated burn surgeon, nurse practitioners, intensitivists, and a family-like atmosphere. Technology includes advanced cardiac monitoring, Imobile phones for communication, and AirStrip for rhythms. The unit promotes teamwork, with staff experienced in complex procedures and patient care standards.
