Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized cardiac care to a geriatric patient population, with a focus on post-cardiac catheterization, post-operative pacemaker management, and other cardiac treatments. The position requires flexibility to work day, night, or mid-shift schedules as needed, and the candidate must have at least two years of prior experience in a similar setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of related experience, must have all PA clearances including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI fingerprinting within the last two years, and PA State Police Clearance.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac care, including CP, MI, open heart surgery, Watchmen devices, TAVR, post-cardiac cath, and post-op pacer management.
- Float: Float rotation may be required; candidates should be willing to float to 1:1s depending on staffing needs.
- Additional Information: All candidates must have completed and cleared screenings prior to start. Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays. The unit has a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 for RNs, with a supportive team environment focused on cardiac and geriatric patient care. The position is open for one RN, and the start date is 09/14/2026.
