Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located at a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized patient care for adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on monitoring and managing complex clinical conditions. The RN will be responsible for delivering safe, effective care while adhering to best practices and unit protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Education: Nursing degree; Experience: 2 years of relevant patient care experience, previous charge nurse and teaching hospital experience preferred; Location: Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ECG interpretation, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring both on-unit and remote, and familiarity with rapid response teams.
- Float: Regular floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have previous charge nurse experience, be comfortable with emergency response procedures, and demonstrate proficiency in cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and procedural care. RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days and must be finalized at submission. The position involves working on nights with the possibility of weekend shifts, including 8 weekend assignments over a 6-week schedule. Compliance-related documentation and modules are due prior to start date.
