Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in a night shift position, providing specialized nursing care to medically complex patients requiring telemetry, frequent monitoring, and specialized interventions. The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license verified through Nursys; professional drivers license or state ID; professional profile with the organization; two professional references; current resume.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The RN will provide direct patient care for patients requiring telemetry, including cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, and post-operative care. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing IV medications and devices such as central lines, PICC lines, oxygen therapy, and implementing patient care plans. Collaboration with healthcare team members and documentation in the electronic medical record are essential. The role also involves recognizing early signs of deterioration and adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
