Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in Augusta, GA. This role involves providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The assignment offers opportunities to work with advanced equipment, collaborate with a cohesive team, and enjoy flexible self-scheduling options. The start date is 09/14/2026, with a duration through 12/14/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), familiarity with cardiac and insulin drips, minimum of 1 year of RN experience, located in Augusta, GA.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a PCU or similar critical care unit.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to areas of competency.
- Additional Information:
- Unit has 29 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4 ideally, currently operating at 1:5.
- Uses Alaris intravenous pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scan, and vein finder.
- Documentation is done via Meditech system.
- Staff in PCU are very cohesive, work well as a team, and often self-schedule to preference night shifts for three consecutive nights.
- Staff are praised for their culture and managerial support.
