Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring patient safety. The RN will participate in patient assessments, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary communication to support positive health outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS Certification (Required prior to first shift), ACLS Certification (Required prior to first shift for CIRH only), a minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Provides patient, family, and interdisciplinary team updates regularly. Responsible for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record. Initiates discharge planning from day one and promotes patient and staff safety through adherence to safety protocols. Delegates appropriately and participates in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively seeks professional development opportunities.
