Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located within an adult Intermediate Medical Care Department in an urban setting. This role involves providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing advanced medical equipment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans. The position emphasizes clinical proficiency, patient safety, and emotional support for patients and their families.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (Compact) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CRRT experience, 1 year of healthcare experience, valid driver's license or state ID, completion of professional profile, and two professional references

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The RN will monitor and assess critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors, promptly respond to changes in patient conditions or emergencies, maintain detailed documentation, and follow infection control protocols. The candidate should be willing to participate in continuing education and clinical training, and precept new staff members as needed.
