We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Postpartum care for a travel assignment in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role requires a commitment to a rotating shift schedule, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The position involves providing exceptional care for postpartum patients, including those recovering from vaginal and c-section deliveries. Responsibilities include administering IV antibiotics, magnesium, and postpartum hemorrhage management, utilizing equipment such as Welch Allyn blood pressure monitors and Medela breast pumps, and caring for newborns. The unit has 13 Postpartum beds and a Continuing Care Nursery.Candidates must hold active AHA BLS and NRP certifications, with at least one year of postpartum nursing experience. Familiarity with EMR systems is required, and lactation certification is preferred. Travel experience is advantageous, although first-time travelers are welcome. Weekend and holiday rotation is mandatory, along with adherence to flu vaccination requirements during the season.
