Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Topeka, KS 66606
Start Date: September 9, 2026
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required. Floating to Postpartum as needed.
Highlights:
- 13-week assignment in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit caring for gestations 34 weeks and greater
- Comprehensive postpartum couplet care experience with Level 2 Special Care Nursery support
- Flexible scheduling with 36 or 48-hour weekly options available
- Care for diverse patient populations including OB triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum patients
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements:
- Active Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, AWHONN (Fetal Heart Monitoring), and NRP certifications required in hand at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- Experience with high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, C-sections, and external cephalic versions
- Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, and postpartum couplet care
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
