Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Topeka, KS 66606
Start Date: September 9, 2026
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Flexible scheduling with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend. Assignment duration is 84 days (approximately 12 weeks).
Highlights:
- Work in a comprehensive Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum Couplet Care unit serving diverse patient populations including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
- Gain experience with high-risk labor and delivery conditions including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and gestations 34 weeks and greater
- Participate in OB triage, postpartum care, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery support
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Floating to postpartum units as needed based on facility requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS, AWHONN (Fetal Heart Monitoring), and NRP certifications required in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, labor support, cesarean section assistance, and postpartum care
- Experience with high-risk obstetrical conditions, medication administration including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, and newborn assessment
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
