### Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - Mother/Baby **Job Description:** - **Location:** Overland Park, KS - **Unit Name:** Post Partum - **Patient Care Environment:** - 26 beds with a patient ratio of 6-8 patients - Dynamic team environment with Registered Nurses and limited PCT support - **Essential Skills:** - Care for women of childbearing age and newborns - Recognize unit workflow, policies, and procedures within the postpartum unit - Assess and identify risk factors including sepsis, VTE/DVT, and pain management - Provide thorough discharge education and assessment - Utilize AIDET and BSSR communication techniques - **Requirements:** - Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred - Certifications needed: BLS, NRP - **Work Schedule:** - Varies with typically 2 hard to staff shifts (Monday/Friday) and 1 full weekend requirement every 3rd week plus 1 additional weekend - **Dress Code:** - Black scrub pants and Caribbean blue scrub top, vest, or jacket - **Unit Highlights:** - Equipment: vitals machine, glucometer, computer, TCB, postpartum supplies - Documentation system: CPN, Meditech - No on-call requirements and floating policy within women's services **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
