- Schedule: Every other weekend
Job Requirements
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required; temporary license is not accepted
- 2+ years of hospital nursing experience required
- Experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients and postpartum recoveries
- Newborn Nursery experience required
- NRP certification required
- BLS certification required
- Meditech experience preferred
- RNC-OB preferred
- Ability to work nights and every other weekend as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to postpartum mothers and newborns
- Monitor high-risk antepartum patients and support safe postpartum recovery
- Deliver newborn nursery nursing care with a focus on safety, education, and family support
- Perform IV placement and other routine bedside nursing interventions
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Maintain a professional, family-focused environment that promotes comfort and confidence for patients
