**Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric CICU RN!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Dallas, Texas - **Unit Information:** - Number of Beds: 27 - Number of Staff: 90 - Acuity Adaptive Model: - **Day Shift:** - 2 Charges for each unit (ICU and step down) - 1 PCT - RNs based on census and acuity needs - **Night Shift:** - 2 Charges for each unit (ICU and step down) - 1 PCT - RNs based on census and acuity needs - Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:1, at times 1:3 - Equipment: - IV Pumps: Medfusion and Baxter - Beds: Hillrom, HARD cribs, cribettes - GE Radiant Warmers - Somanetics NIRS Machines - Servo U Vents - EMR: Meditech - **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have Skills:** - 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse - 3-4 contracts in dedicated pediatric CICU - Minimum 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse - Experience with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients - Management of arterial lines, central lines, transthoracic lines - **Preferred Skills:** - 2 years or more of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as staff nurse - At least 1 year experience with neonatal cardiac patients (pre-op and post-op management) - 2 or more years in Pediatric cardiac experience in step down or cardiology floor - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Central line and arterial line placement - Conscious sedation - Intubation/extubation - Post-op recovery of general and cardiac procedures - Sternal closures - Codes - ECMO cannulation and decannulation - CRRT - Manual PD - **Best Personality Fit:** - Compassionate and empathetic care delivery - Hardworking team player - Meticulousness - Adaptability and flexibility - **Required Certifications:** - PALS - BLS - ACLS - **Floating Area(s):** - PICU - NICU - Pediatric Med Surg - Pediatric Oncology - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: Royal blue - **Weekends and On Call:** - Rotating weekends (day shift Sat and Sun, night shift Fri and Sat) - No call **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
