Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a facility located in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves providing specialized care in a busy Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, supporting critically ill children with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma facility, utilizing advanced patient care skills in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Position: Travel - Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - 7A - 7P
- Location: Facility in Wichita, KS
- Shift Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/25/2026
- End Date: 11/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 1 or more years of current acute care hospital experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit; must have current PICU RN experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with CRRT experience, APHON Pediatric Teaching Hospital experience, or familiarity with general Critical Care Monitoring equipment are preferred.
- Patient Care Responsibilities: IV starts, blood draws, TPT placements.
- Unit Highlights: Level II Trauma designation; 15 beds; staff of 38; high patient acuity; fast-paced environment requiring strong composure and teaching ability.
- Additional Information: Ideal candidates work well under pressure, have a strong patient care focus, and are adaptable to innovative equipment and technology enhancements.
