Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity available in a healthcare facility located in El Paso, Texas. This contract position is designed to support a specialized pediatric unit focused on critical care, including the management of patients with diagnoses such as septic shock requiring vaso-active drips and mechanical ventilation. The role involves providing high-quality care in a dynamic and growing environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and adaptability.
Job Details:

- Position: Contract Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Target Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Certifications and Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ALS, PALS, Pediatric ICU experience, Pediatric experience, 3 years of nursing experience preferred, minimum of 0 years required
- Typical Schedule: Night shifts with four weekend shifts per month, with variations based on AM and PM shifts
- Unit information:
- Pediatric unit with Intensive Care needs
- 19 beds (10 PICU beds, 9 Pediatric beds)
- Staff of 27 members including charge nurses and bedside nurses on each shift
- Patient ratios: 1:2 in PICU, 1:3 in IMC, 1:5 in Peds with PCT support
- Equipment includes Hillrom beds, GC monitors, ICU Medial Plum 360 pumps, and Medfusion syringe pumps
- EMR system: Meditech
- Procedures commonly performed include lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation
- Additional Information:
