Job Summary:
Pediatric Transport Nurse position available in the Seattle area, supporting ground transportation needs. This role involves working with a dedicated transportation team to safely move infant and pediatric patients between hospitals and other healthcare facilities, providing critical care during transit. The position requires a commitment to night shifts and the ability to float to NICU, PICU, or Peds units as needed.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: 3 nights per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission; Certifications in BLS, NRP, and PALS; 2 years of experience in pediatric or neonatal transport, ground transportation experience preferred; at least 1 year of recent charge nurse experience preferred; experience in arterial line management, ventilator management, NICU/PICU transport, and use of relevant monitoring and airway management skills; proficiency with charting in Epic; skills in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, hyper/hypothermia protocols, and emergency procedures
- Additional Information: Role may include floating to NICU, PICU, or Peds units during shifts; must be comfortable working independently in high-pressure situations; requires ability to work holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day; orientation consists of 36 hours prior to start date
