Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Oakland, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients within a multidisciplinary team at a facility focused on neonatal, adolescent, and pediatric populations. The role requires overseeing a variety of surgical procedures in a dynamic environment with opportunities to float to other UCSF campuses as needed.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 10-hour shifts during the day, starting at 0645 or 0845, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Certifications: BLS, CNOR, PALs, and CA RN License required. BSN is mandatory for all RN positions.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of pediatric operating room experience.
- Preferred Certifications: CNOR.
- Preferred Experience: Ambulatory operating room, cardiovascular operating room.
- Additional Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience is preferred. Experience with pediatric general surgery, trauma, and specific surgical procedures is desirable.
- Travel and Float Requirements: Ability to float to other UCSF campuses within a 75+ mile radius.

- Work Environment: Involves working with neonatal, adolescent, and pediatric patients across a multidisciplinary team in a busy surgical environment. Includes participation in special procedures, surgical scrubbing, and patient monitoring.
