**Exciting Opportunity for a PCU RN in Alaska!** - **Position**: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - **Assignment Length**: 13 Weeks - **Start Date**: ASAP - **Shift**: 4x12 Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30) - **Years of Experience Required**: 1 - **First Timers Accepted**: Yes **Requirements**: - Must have an active Alaska (AK) RN license in hand for Auto Offer - License pending accepted, but must complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing - Certifications Required: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - Weekend Coverage: May be more frequent than every other weekend, subject to staffing needs - RTO (Request Time Off) Restrictions: Approved on an individual basis; include all RTO in submittal - Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for 1 shift per 2 weeks **Unit Information**: - Stepdown unit from ICU with diverse patient populations - Utilizes Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model: - 1 bedside RN per patient, assisted by a Virtual RN and 1 CNA - RN-to-patient ratio: 1:4 - CNA-to-patient ratio: 1:6 - Patient Population Includes: - 30% cardiac patients: CHF, MI, TAVR, MVR, Pacemaker monitoring, arrhythmias, drug loads, ACS - Respiratory patients: COVID, FLU, COPD, asthma, trach patients, chronic home ventilators - Overflow units for Neuro and Renal patients - Complicated medical-surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring (ETOH WD, GIB) **Additional Information**: - Open to floating within scope to meet facility needs to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, MS - No block schedule available - Locals not accepted: Candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility - Charting System: Epic - Scrub Color: Provided - Parking: Free **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol)**: At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
