Must have:Acute Care strong nursing skills and time management. Patient Ratios :6:1 on Acute Care 4:1 on Neuro stepdown
Advanced skills needed: Strong critical thinking skills.
Procedures performed on unit: The most common are lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS
