Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Pocatello, ID 83201
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract. Patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4. Possible float to other units.
Highlights:
- 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit in a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility
- Work with complex patient populations including PCI and open-heart surgery patients
- Chest Pain Accredited facility with advanced cardiac care capabilities
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
- 13-week assignment with 24 hours of orientation provided
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with patient ratio of 1:4
- Proficiency in blood product administration, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
- Must reside outside 100-mile radius from the facility
