Description:Unit Information:4Heart, Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC)Location: Mission Hospital in Asheville, NCAddress: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801Floor: E4 - CVPCBuilding: E Heart TowerGeneral InformationTell us about the unit(s):Primary patient population is CV surgery and vascular surgery to include open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR,etc), thoracic lung surgery (lobectomy, thoracotomy, etc.),esophagogastrectomy, AAA (open and endovascular), fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomies. We also receive overflow medical cardiology patients with diagnoses of heart failure, DKA, chest pain, sepsis, heart block, etc. Number of Beds 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds Number of Staff approximately 100total Type of staff:oDay Shift 1 charge RN (routinely out of staffing), 13 RN s, 4 PCT s, 1.33 HUCoNight Shift 1 charge RN (routinely out of staffing), 13 RN s, 4 PCT s, 0.33 HUC Patient Ratios 1:5 patients per RN, 1:13 for PCT s Type of equipment Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, various lifts EMR - CernerTypical hiring profileSkill Set Most recruited for:Must have:candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Stepdown experience Telemetry experiencePreferred or nice to have:candidates with these skills will be considered first.
