Job Description:
This position is located on the D2 unit which serves as an inpatient overflow unit with mixed levels of care ranging from medical-surgical to step-down patients. Targeted for short stays, the unit has a quick turnover with a patient bed count of 20. Telemetry is used, and patients who require monitoring will be hardwired to bedside monitors. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to patients on the observation unit, ensuring the appropriate level of care is maintained.
- Monitor telemetry and report any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Float to other units as required.
Requirements:
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Telemetry competency.
- Progressive Care experience.
