Job Description:
The RN in the PCU/IMC Float will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population spanning various specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and others. The role necessitates adaptability within a multi-unit setting and proficiency in managing and titrating complex medications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care across multiple units, including General, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and more.
- Manage patient assignments and float as needed within a 60-mile radius.
- Collaborate with the charge nurse and other staff to ensure efficient unit operations.
Requirements:
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Must possess 2 years of PCU/IMC experience.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- Comfortable managing cardiac drips, insulin, and commonly used medications such as ativan and heparin.
