Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position available in a peri-anesthesia setting. The selected candidate will provide individualized nursing care based on basic competencies in peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology, applying the nursing process to patients across geriatric, adult, and adolescent age groups from admission through discharge. This role requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and medications.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, days, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM start times; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), at least 2 years PACU nursing experience, preferably in a high-acuity hospital or ICU, with extensive cardiac and cath lab experience preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of PACU RN experience, knowledge of End-Tidal carbon dioxide (CO2) monitoring, airway assessment, and post-anesthesia procedures.
- Schedule Duration: From 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026
- Additional Information: Must have uploaded Nursys licensure documentation within the last 2 weeks. Certifications must be current and uploaded with valid expiration dates. Candidates should have the ability to complete onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide a 7-year work history verification.
