Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a critical access facility. The role involves float-free responsibilities within the PACU, providing post-anesthesia patient care, including arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition, pain management, ventilated patient care, and recovery from various anesthesia techniques. The assignment duration is from 09/08/2026 to 12/08/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 09/08/2026 and ending on 12/08/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license required), a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an inpatient setting, PACU experience, current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with recovering bariatric, vascular, ENT, GI, GYN, ortho, neuro, trauma patients; proficiency with EPIC charting system; previous community hospital experience.
- Special Requirements: On-call duty required, specific scheduling for 1-2 weeknights and one weekend per month, with these shifts from 17:30 to 07:00. Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays and request all time off or schedule adjustments during submittal.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have PACU track EPIC charting experience; must include responses regarding prior work at a similar facility and provide two references covering one year within the last three years. Candidates should be prepared to float between nearby facilities if necessary; refusal to float may lead to contract termination.
