Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is needed for a facility in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position involves providing post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on safety and patient comfort. The role requires adherence to hospital protocols and clinical standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts with scheduled start times between 0600 and 0800 depending on departmental needs. Call responsibilities based on department requirements, currently involving 1-2 shifts per week during weekdays, every third weekend (from end of shift Friday to 0630 Monday morning), with rotating holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license verification, professional drivers license or state ID, professional profile, two professional references, and an updated resume.
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in perioperative settings, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care, as well as experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC.
- Additional Information: Must be comfortable with float assignments within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
